A talk for organizations

From Hesitation to Action

The mental tools for decision-making and change, made with courage and vitality

In an organizational world moving fast and under constant uncertainty, the ability to make sound decisions, overcome overthinking paralysis and manage change in a healthy way is a critical skill — for every employee and every manager.

This talk was built to hand employees and managers a practical mental toolkit: for making decisions, working through fear, and creating real momentum. It is experiential and applied — every tool comes with a clear way to put it to work the very next day.

What makes it different is the vantage point. I come from engineering and project management, a world where decisions are made under pressure and without complete information. These tools weren't born in a therapy room — they were born in the field, and later found their backing in positive psychology research.

What's inside

What participants learn

Five tools, each one useful on its own — and together they form a complete method for moving from hesitation to action.

The neurobiology of change

How the brain reads uncertainty as danger, and why that is not personal weakness but biology. Then: how to turn a stress response into energy and focus.

Fear into energy

Mental de-risking

A structured tool for dissolving catastrophizing: breaking the worst-case scenario into parts, testing its real probability, and calming the stress system at the moment of decision.

Practical tool

The 70/30 decision rule

How to act effectively under uncertainty, without waiting for the 100% certainty that only blocks execution. When you have enough to move — and how to tell.

Decision-making

Pace and discipline over emotion

A model borrowed from long-distance running: how to hold consistency and focus even as motivation drops, under load and burnout.

Consistency

PERMA for organizational flourishing

Seligman's five pillars of flourishing, and how they translate into stronger employee engagement and a real sense of personal and professional capability.

Flourishing

The first step — for real

The talk closes with a short personal reflective exercise: every participant leaves the room with one small, defined, doable step — in the Kaizen spirit of continuous improvement.

How it works

Tailored to your organization

There is no single talk that fits everyone. Before each session we talk — and then I build the version that fits you.

A short scoping call

First, fifteen minutes on the challenge your organization is facing, who will be in the room, and what you want people to walk out with.

Content and syllabus fit

Choosing the tools and examples for the audience — a leadership team, employees in transition, or a broad audience at a learning day. Length and structure agreed together.

A talk that leaves tools behind

An experiential, applied session that ends with a short personal exercise — making sure everyone leaves with a defined first step, not just a good feeling.
